Watch Drake Relays on MC22 starting Sunday, May 1
Premier track & field competition features top collegiate & Iowa H.S. athletes
DES MOINES, IA – April 25, 2022 -- The 2022 Drake Relays begin this week, and Mediacom will televise extensive replay coverage to provide track and field fans with an up-close view of competition featuring the nation's top collegiate athletes alongside Iowa's finest high school athletes.
The 112th edition of the Drake Relays will be held April 27-30, 2022, at Drake Stadium. Replay telecasts, which may include seeing new records set on the Blue Oval, will be shown on Mediacom’s local video channel, MC22, starting at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 1. The expanded program schedule will continue throughout the afternoon and most of the evening, starting with coverage of Thursday’s distance medley events.
MC22 will televise the 2022 Drake Relays competition on two additional dates during the week of May 2. The competitive men’s and women’s track and field events will be shown in a programming sequence that mostly follows the schedule of events held Thursday through Saturday. The schedule is viewable online. A listing of program replay times for specific track and field events will be posted on the MC22 web site.
ADDED TV programming note: Xtream Sprint Series, LIVE on CBS Sports, April 30, 1 pm
CBS Sports Network (channel 171 on Mediacom) will televise LIVE coverage of men’s and women’s competition in the Xtream Sprint Series on Saturday, April 30, at 1 pm. The events will be the 400-meter hurdles, 100 meter-sprint, and 100/110-meter hurdles. The event schedule for the live-coverage events appears below:
