Live TV coverage for Crosstown Classic H.S. baseball
as fans raise funds for Univ. of Iowa Children’s Hospital
IOWA CITY, IA – JUNE 9, 2022 – The Fight with Flash Foundation will hold its 2022 Crosstown Classic baseball series on Saturday, June 11 at the Solon High School Baseball Fields; and Iowans can tune in to watch live coverage of the 4:00 pm game between Liberty H.S. and Clear Creek Amana.
Mediacom will televise the finale game that concludes a day-long baseball series that features local high school teams and raises funds for the Adolescent Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
Game time for the crosstown rivalry between Iowa City Liberty (North Liberty) and Clear Creek Amana is 4:00 pm. It will be televised on MC22 (channel 822, 722 or 22) and streamed live at MC22.net.
Mediacom chose to deliver live coverage to share the special game with students, families and baseball fans throughout the state. The event is organized by the Fight with Flash Foundation, a local charity created to honor the life and spirit of Austin “Flash” Schroeder. Foundation events held in 2021 raised more than $150,000 in contributions donated to AYA at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.
