Live TV Coverage of Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival Parade
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – June 20, 2022 – The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival Parade will be televised live throughout Iowa on Mediacom’s MC22 channel on Saturday, June 25 at 10:00 am.
The Freedom Festival Parade will be held in downtown Cedar Rapids. Media personalities Justin Roberts and Micki Slick will be the event MC’s for the MC22 telecast. “Stars and Stripes Forever” is this year’s parade theme and awards will be given for the following categories:
- Judges’ Choice
- Most Patriotic
- Originality / Best Use of Theme
- Best Performance / Use of Music
- The Leonard Pfeifer Award – Best Original Float
The awards ceremony will immediately follow the parade at Greene Square. Scheduled Freedom Festival Events will be held throughout the day, benefitting the military and Cedar Rapids community.
