Dedicated middle school students across the state of Iowa have prepared a case for the Iowa Middle School Mock Trial Championship. Mediacom’s MC22 announced it will televise the competition for those unable to attend the event. The competition will be aired on Tuesday, December 6th at 7:30 pm.

Mock trial is designed to introduce students to the legal system by providing a challenging, academic competition. Each fall, middle school students, ranging from grades 6-8, are given a legal case to study. The teams then work to prepare and present both sides of the case before a panel of volunteer lawyers and judges. Each team is judged on their mock trial competition, sportsmanship, civility, courtroom decorum, and professionalism.

MC22 is included on all Mediacom television lineups across a multi-state footprint that includes Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, and other states. Mediacom video subscribers can find MC22 on cable channels #822, #722, or #22. The Middle School Mock Trial Championship will air on Tuesday, December 6th and replays will continue throughout the month. MC22 TV schedules are posted at The competition will also be available on Mediacom OnDemand.
