Mediacom Communications subscribers can watch the 2023 Iowa High School Speech Association (IHSSA) All-State Festival on Mediacom’s local programming channel, MC22, beginning April 5 at 8 p.m.
The IHSSA hosts 487 member schools annually and approximately 40,000 students at the All-State Festival. The IHSSA consists of member high schools from four districts in Iowa and offers three categories of competition: debate, large group, and individual events. The MC22 production team based in Cedar Rapids covered the All-State Festival from the University of Northern Iowa on Monday, March 27.
MC22 will televise the 2023 IHSSA All-State Festival program as a two-part series. The first part will focus on opening ceremonies and individual events including Improvisational Acting and Storytelling. The second segment will feature the remaining individual events including Storytelling, Acting, Public Address, Spontaneous Speaking, and Original Oratory. Each program will be approximately two hours in duration, with the first to broadcast on Wednesday, April 5 at 8 p.m. Viewers are encouraged to check their local TV listings at: mc22.net/tv-listings/.
