High school football teams across Iowa have advanced through rounds of the IHSAA State Football Playoffs, and 28 teams will begin semifinal competition where games in all classes will be televised live on Mediacom MC22.
Semifinal action begins November 9 with 8-player competition and continues daily through November 13. Winning teams will compete in seven championship games to be played the following week, November 17-18.
In partnership with the Iowa High School Sports Network (IHSSN), Mediacom will televise full coverage of the 14 semifinal games, providing live viewing for family and sports fans in Iowa and adjacent states. The MC22 TV football schedule is listed below and will feature 28 high school teams in all divisions. IHSSN will also provide livestream coverage of the semifinal games at ihssn.com.
In addition to live coverage of the 14-game semifinal series, MC22 will show full replays for the seven championship games during daytime and evening programming on November 19-20. Live coverage for championship games will be carried on select IHSSN regional television partners.
The arrangement that expands television viewing for Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) events is part of a multi-year partnership between the IHSSN and Mediacom. The collaboration includes high school boy’s football, basketball, wrestling, baseball, track, and soccer championship events. Mediacom services are available in 315 Iowa communities, and MC22 is automatically included with all video and internet subscriptions.
