Live TV Coverage of Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival Parade
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – June 23, 2026 – The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival Parade will be televised live throughout Iowa on Mediacom’s local programming channel, MC22, on Saturday, June 27 at 10:00 am. For the first time, the Freedom Festival Parade will be held in Hiawatha. This year’s theme, “Party Like it’s 1776: America’s Birthday Bash,” brings a festive twist to the tradition, inviting participants and spectators to enjoy a high-energy celebration of our nation’s birthday.
All parade entries will be judged, and awards will be given for the following categories:
- Judge’s Choice
- Best Birthday Spirit
- Most Patriotic Party
The winners will be announced immediately following the parade at Guthridge Park. Scheduled Freedom Festival Events will be held throughout the day, benefiting the military and the Cedar Rapids community.
